Dear Rodrigo,
The news of your passing was an absolute shock and you will be greatly missed. I have enjoyed reading the other notes and seeing how loved you were. This doesn’t surprise me, as you always had a kind and passionate personality!
My very first memory of you was in 2008 watching fútbol in Hochheim and hearing you cheer and curse in Spanish. I learned some new words, thanks to you! Your skill with language was incredible. You were very passionate about the things you enjoyed, from heavy metal to meeting my bunnies!
My very last memory with you was in 2022, enjoying Popeyes chicken with friends and meeting my new bunny in Wiesbaden. When we were saying goodbye at the bus stop, I offered to pull the bus ramp down, but then realized my arms were too short! We looked at each other and laughed and said, “what a pair we make!” I regret that we did not get to grow up together. I think we would have been a great brother/sister team.
The world lost an Angel when you passed. You carried so much with you and made it look so light. You were and are so so loved by your friends and family. I wish Rosa and family peace during this incredibly difficult time. Rarely have I seen a mother as devoted as Rosa. I always loved how she called you “cielo” or “my sky.” I do believe that you and your sweet spirit are watching over her now.
